Product description

AakoSun BP4 is better known as Benzophenone-4. It is an organic, water-soluble sun filter that is mainly used as an UV-A filter. When combined with other sunscreens like AakoSun OCR, AakoSun HMS, AakoSun EHS or AakoSun OMC it also provides effective UV-B protection.

Approved for the use in sun care preparations in many countries worldwide.

• In America and Canada max. 10% and in Europe max. 5%.

Benzophenone-4 is also known under the names Sulisobenzone and 1-phenol-4-sulfonic acid.

Benefits

• When combined with an oil-soluble UV absorber, it enables formulations with very high Sun Protection Factor (SPF).
• Prevents natural- and synthetic hair dyes from fading in the sun.
• Stabilizes fragrances and active ingredients against degradation or oxidation.
• Decreases the light sensitivity of wool and pesticides.
• Instead of penetrating the skin to a large degree, Benzophenone-4 enhances the ability of other ingredients to penetrate.

Packaging & storage

AakoSun BP4 is available in the following packaging type:

• Drum fibre box of 25 kg.

Keep product dry and protect containers from damage. Shelf life 24 months in original, unopened container. Once the containers are open, the remains should be sealed under an inert atmosphere again OR be consumed within 24 hours.
