Registration Specialist; indispensable for AAKO

AAKO has been a major player in the crop protection products market in North Africa for over 30 years. We are a partner for our distributors and supply products that increase food security in that region. Before a product is put on the market, it must be approved and registered by the local authorities. A process that often takes 3 to 5 years.

A product is assessed in many areas: is it safe for users, for the environment, for animals and humans and does it do what it is supposed to do? Compiling a registration dossier requires specialist knowledge. AAKO has all this knowledge!

Great commitment
Our Registration Specialist is involved full time in the introduction of new products for our “Crop Protection” department. Based on the data and studies, she assesses whether a product can be used safely and prepares a registration dossier based on the requirements of the local authorities.

AAKO’s role
This assessment process can take a long time, all steps from A to Z must be followed for this. The process takes time and the local ministries of Agriculture of the distributor’s country will fully assess the file. Questions are asked such as: is the file acceptable and complete? Have the field trials on dosing passed? Once all steps have been completed, AAKO will receive a registration certificate for the product. This means we can finally supply our partners with the product that will simplify the farmers life!

In short; chemicals call for perfection!
