Top 3 most requested samples

In the world of chemicals, care is paramount. We care about providing you with the best products. That is a part of our Chemical excellence. We love to tell you everything about the benefits and applications of our products. But instead of listening to us, you should experience it yourself. By requesting samples. The best way to get convinced. With the end of 2019 in sight, it’s time for us to compile a top 3 with the most requested samples.

  1. Phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid (AakoSun PBSA)

The number three on this list is phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, also called ensulizole. This is a worldwide approved UV-B filter that is water soluble. This makes it feel lighter on the skin. The free acid is poorly soluble in water, so it is only used as it’s soluble salts. Ensulizole is fairly photostable. So it can be used to protect other less stable UV filters. When paired with other sunscreens like avobenzone, titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, it provides better UV-A protection.

  1. Benzophenone-4 (AakoSun BP4)

The second most requested sample is Benzophenone-4. This is also a water soluble UV filter with worldwide approval for skin protection. It is being used primarily as a UV-A filter. When combined with other sunscreens like homosalate, ethylhexyl salicylate, octocrylene or ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate it also offers effective UV-B protection. Besides of filtering out UV rays, Benzophenone-4 prevents other ingredients from being oxidized or degraded by the sun. It also offers protection of colorants against fading.

  1. Ethylhexyl triazone (AakoSun OTZ)

The absolute winner of this list is ethylhexyl triazone, also known as octyl triazone. This is an oil soluble UV filter. It protects the skin against both UV-B and UV-A II rays. The great thing about this product is it’s high absorptivity at 314 nm. Because of this only little concentrations are required to achieve high Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value in sun care preparations. It has excellent photo stability and compatibility with other UV absorbers. This makes ethylhexyl triazone perfect to use in water resistant formulations.
