Jarocare BKL is extracted from the seeds of the native Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is a proven a natural alternative to retinol (vitamin A).

Jarocare BKL works to combat the signs of aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, without causing the negative effects such irritated and dry skin commonly associated with retinol (vitamin A).

Bakuchiol has been proven to be as effective as retinol at reducing the signs of aging and in the improvement of acne prone skin, without the irritation side effects associated with retinol.

Jarocare BKL is the ideal alternative for formulators who are looking to develop natural and sustainable skin care products with proven efficacy. Jarocare BKL can be used in various formulation eg. facial creams, oils, serums, lotions, toners & gels.

 

Inclusion level – 0.5%-2%
Solubility – miscible with a wide range of emollients eg. vegetable oils, capric/caprylic triglycerides and silicones.
Temperature – avoid heating above 75°C for a prolonged time
Discoloration – as bakuchiol is a phenolic compound, a chelating agent should be included to avoid discoloration from metal ions eg 0.2% Disodium EDTA or Sodium gluconate.
pH of the finished formula <pH6.5. Some preservatives e.g potassium sorbate or sodium benzoate require a pH below pH 5.5.Check with your preservative supplier.
