Cyclopentasiloxane (AakoSil D5) is a clear fluid of low viscosity and high volatility and is one of the most common cost-effective ingredients used in personal care products today.

The sensory perception and responses shown by AakoSil D5 may be incorporated in various products in cosmetics: Sun Care products, Deodorants, Shower Gels, Facial Cleanser or Foams and After Shave Preparations.

Cyclopentasiloxane can give the right balance between volatility and spreading. Can be used as a volatile carrier and is highly compatible. AakoSil D5 has a low surface tension and makes very stable formulations. Low usage levels required.

Storage:

Stored under dry conditions in full tightly closed containers, protected from heat and light. Minimum shelf life of 2 years under appropriate conditions of storage.
