Product description

Sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP), also known as sodium polyphosphate, is an inorganic compound belonging to the polyphosphate family. Sodium hexametaphosphate is a vital industrial chemical recognized for its excellent dispersing, corrosion prevention and water softening properties. These properties make it a crucial component in industrial processes, ensuring high quality and efficiency

Sodium hexametaphosphate is also available in the following applications:

Sodium Hexametaphosphate Powder:

Sodium Hexametaphosphate Powder (P69):

Sodium Hexametaphosphate Granular (P69):

Sodium hexametaphosphate is also known under the name sodium polyphosphate, hexasodium metaphosphate and metaphosphoric acid hexasodium salt.

Benefits

  • Water softening: it is highly effective at sequestering metal ions, making it crucial in water treatment processes for softening water and preventing scale formation.
  • Corrosion inhibition: usage of SHMP inhibits corrosion in industrial water systems.
  • Leaching Inhibition: SHMP reduces the leaching of copper and lead from pipes, thereby protecting water quality.
  • Flocculation control: it aids in dispersing suspended particles in wastewater treatment, improving water clarity and quality.
  • Improves color retention and dye absorption: SHMP enhances color retention and dye absorption in textiles and paper, resulting in higher quality and more vibrant products.
  • Faster dissolution: powdered SHMP dissolves rapidly in water, making it ideal for applications requiring swift action such as water treatment.
