BEAVER® represents a major innovation for fruit thinning. This product has been specially formulated for use on apple trees shortly after flowering, an essential stage in the development of yield components. BEAVER 15 SG differs from hormonal thinners in that it temporarily inhibits the photosynthetic process without interfering with the hormonal regulation of plants.

Beaver 15 SG contains 150 g/kg Metamitron in a Water Soluble Granule formulation

Application

BEAVER® inhibits photosynthesis by blocking photosystem II electron transport. It thus limits the efficiency of the light necessary for carbon fixation, which temporarily reduces the resources available for the fruits. This limitation causes the side fruits to drop while preserving the main corymb fruit.
