Application/properties:

This proprietary aluminum chelate complex has been formulated as a gelling agent for lithographic printing ink vehicle and is provided as a convenient solution in high-boiling ink oil solvent.
Extremely stable under high temperature conditions, it is an ideal gellant for varnishes cooked for several hours > 320°F. Capable of achieving very high viscosity at low aluminum content, has a slow rate of reactivity that permits addition to many varnishes at high temperatures. And does not produce any byproduct alcohols during the gelling reaction.
