Polymeric dispersing additive
TiloSperse 5550 is a polymeric dispersant designed for improving colour development and stability of high standard pigment concentrates. TiloSperse 5550 is solvent-free and is especially suitable for the production of APE free and solvent-free universal tinters which are used in aqueous, solvent-based and solvent-free architectural coatings. It can also be used for preventing flooding/floating in PVC plastisols for coil coating applications. TiloSperse 5550 has excellent performance in all pigment and filler dispersions. TiloSperse 5550 is compatible with a wide range of binders including acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane and alkyd binders.
TiloSperse 5550 features the following advantages:
- Resin free concentrates
- Increased pigment loading
- Excellent flow properties
- High gloss
- Excellent colouristic properties
- Universal pigment concentrates
- Filler concentrates
- PVC plastisols
Inorganic pigment: 10-15%
Titanium dioxide: 4-6%
Organic pigment: 20-45%
Carbon black: 60-80%
When using TiloSperse 5550 in aqueous coatings, a portion of the amine used for control of the pH-value should be withheld (due to the basic character of the additives).
The product should be stored in a cool dry place. At temperatures below 10°C, turbidity and separation may occur. This does not influence product efficiency. For good processibility use at room temperature and mix well before use.
Shelf life in original unopened container: 2 years after production date.
