Hostaphat KL 340 D is a very efficient O/W emulsifier. Its high HLB value allows the manufacture of emul-sions with polar oils and UV filters. Low amounts are sufficient to achieve highly stable emulsions.
Since Hostaphat KL 340 D is liquid at room temperature, lotions and creams can be processed cold.
Hostaphat KL 340 D also has an excellent skin feel.

Hostaphat KL 340 D is produced by ethoxylation of an C12/14 natural alcohol and subsequent reaction with H3PO4, followed by neutralisation with NaOH.

Hostaphat KL 340 D is used in various applications. Some examples of applications are listed below.

Used as

• primary emulsifier: (1.0 - 3.0 %)
• hydrophilic co-emulsifier for O/W emulsions with normally W/O emulsifiers such as Hostacerin DGI: (1.0 %)
