Properties:
PolyViscolTM K Series are supplied in a range of molecular weights.The products can be supplied as either aqueous solutions or powders,depending on the application requirements.
PolyViscolTM K can be characterized as film formers,but they also act as thickeners in many formulations.The higher molecular weight products being associated with greater setting power and stronger adhesion.The products are particularly suitable for water based formulations.Such as hair gels,where a high degree of clarity may be required in the finished product.The films formed by PVP tend to be hard,glossy, transparent and clear.For hair styling applications the most commonly used grades are K30,K60 and K90.

The products are supplied in a range of molecular weights allowing the formulator flexibility.The lower molecular weights such as PolyViscolTMK30 are preferred where viscosity is critical in applications,example,pump sprays.The higher molecular weight products such as PolyViscolTM K90 are the best choice where high viscosity and strong hold are required in applicasitons.
