Dodicor 2725 NF is a nonionic/cationic synergistic formulation of quaternary amines with alkynol to inhibit the attack of hydrochloric acid and its mixtures with hydrofluoric and acetic acid on steel. It also affords good protection to steel against sulfamic and sulfuric acid at low acid concentration and moderate temperature e.g. for acid cleaning operations

Dodicor 2725 NF has been designed to inhibit the attack of hydrochloric acid/hydrofluoric acid solutions on low carbon steels under severe conditions. Most acids used to dissolve rock and scale during stimulation and chemical cleaning operations in oilfields, refineries, pipeline installations or in opwer plants need inhibitors. A good protection against metal attack can already be obtained by the addition of 1-2 g/l (gals/1000gals) of Dodicor 2725 NF to the diluted acids. Onyl temperatuers above 80°C(176°F) or/and concentrates of HCl of more than 10% require higher dose raets of Dodicor 2725NF.
