DODICOR 2565 is a cery specific acid inhibitor for zinc, but protects also steel against the attack of mineral acids. Due to its peculiar non-surface active structure DODICOR 2565 is recommended as general and HIC inibitor for wet crude or gas systems with tendency for foam or emulsion formation

As shown in the accompanying tables, the necessary concentration of DODICOR 2565 in the final acid formulation is generall 1-5 g/l. Should DODICOR 2565 be supplemental to a more concentrated formulation, which has to be diluted with water before use, then the dilution factor should be taken into account accordingly. In order to improve wettability it is recommended to add nonionic surfacants like Arkopal N-090 or similar to the acid cleaning formulations. In amounts of 0.5 - 2% calculated on DODICOR 2565 the nonionic moreover enhances the transparency of critical formulations.
